Joy Downs Greenwell, 46, Bardstown

Joy Downs Greenwell, 46, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at her residence.  She was born July 10, 1965, in Bardstown, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Libby Hutchins; and nephew Jeremy McCubbins.

She is survived by a daughter, Chelsea Greenwell; her parents, Norman (Poss) Downs and Ada Downs; two brothers, Danny (Suzie) Downs, and Jerry (Gail)Downs; three sisters, Mary Helen (Terry) Hodge all of Bardstown, Lois (Joey) Price of Woodlawn, and Elaine (Mike) Byrd of Mt. Washington; and a special friend, Debbie Greenwell of Bardstown.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11:30 a.m. Friday Feb. 17, 2012, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with burial inHolyTrinityCemetery.  The Rev. Chris Allegra will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, and 8-10:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may go toward the funeral service of Joy Downs Greenwell.
