Mary Antonella Boone McCorkle, 55, of Hodgenville

Mary Antonella Boone McCorkle, 55, of Hodgenville, died Thursday July 5, 2012, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Bardstown, and was a Catholic by faith and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Howardstown. She was employeed by Nationwide Uniform in Hodgenville where she worked for 42 years as a seamstress and most recently as a Safty Captian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix Bernard and Nellie Ann Clark Boone; two sisters, Marie Sharp and Jessie Cissell; and three brothers, J.B. Boone, Eugene Boone and Raymond Boone.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Thomas McCorkle of Hodgenville;
one daughter, Amy Michelle McCorkle of Hodgenville; one son, James William McCorkle and his wife J.W. McCorkle of Sonora; six brothers; J.B. Boone, Ivo Boone, Felix Boone, Marvin Boone, Freddy Boone and Daniel Boone; two sisters, Mary Boone and Phyllis Boone; one granddaughter, Talia Hightower; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2012 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Howardstown with the Rev. Ken Fortener officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven. A prayer service will take place Sunday evening.
