Mary Edgaurita “Rita” Winters, 79, of Manton, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center, Louisville.
She was born Feb. 5, 1933, at Holy Cross. She was a former employee of Crystal Sheen Arts & Crafts in Oakdale, Calif., and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Manton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Eugene and Mary Lela Downs Newton; and three brothers, Leon, Tom and Freddie Newton.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Morgan and her husband Bill of Louisville; one granddaughter, Jennifer Franklin of Louisville; and three great-grandchildren
A Mass of Christian Burial is 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Manton with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Chris Allegra will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.
