Mayme Fay Hopkins, 75, of Cox’s Creek, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born Dec. 6, 1937, in Bullitt County.

She was a former employee of Bardstown Manufacturing Company and retired from Farmers Bank and Trust after 41 years of service where he served as Vice-President. She was also a member of Cox’s Creek Baptist Church and a KY Colonel.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Alpha Owens Cook.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Hopkins; one daughter, Lisa (Charlie) Posey of Henderson; two sons, Terry Lynn (Sandy) Hopkins of Lexington, and Michael Greg (Kimberly) Hopkins of Bardstown; five sisters, Geneva Shawler of Samuels, Virginia Avis of Bardstown, Eula Yancey of Paducah, Willena (Bud) Cooney of Indianapolis, and Dixie Sackleben of Milton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Bratcher officiating. Burial is in the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, and 8:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the New Salem Church Cemetery Fund.
