

Wednesday, May 7, 2014 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. They are scheduled for arraignment May 22, 2014, unless otherwise indicated.
14-CR-15 (AMENDED). Morgan A. Horne, 27, Louisville, theft by unlawful taking and complicity to the same; criminal mischief, second-degree, and complicity to the same.
According to the indictment, on Dec. 16, 2013, Horne — acting alone or in concert with Matthew Miller, allegedly took guns, jewelry and other items belonging to another person having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000, and damaged property having a value of more than $500. Bail was set at the same as primary charges, plus conditions.
14-CR-17 (AMENDED). Matthew Norman Miller, 21, Bloomfield, theft by unlawful taking and complicity to the same; criminal mischief, second-degree, and complicity to the same.
According to the indictment, on Dec. 16, 2013, Miller — acting alone or in concert with Morgan Horne, allegedly took guns, jewelry and other items belonging to another person having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000, and damaged property having a value of more than $500. Bail was set at the same as primary charges, plus conditions.
14-CR-101. Dewey Burnett, 9/13/84, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking; persistent felony offender, first-degree.
According to the indictment, between March 23-24, 2014, Burnett allegedly took air conditioners belonging to America’s Inn on New Haven Road having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. The persistent felony offender charge is based on Burnett’s prior felony convictions. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.
14-CR-102. Nathaniel Scott Downs, 29, Bardstown, promoting contraband, first-degree (3 counts); promoting contraband, second-degree.
According to the indictment, on March 21, 2014, Downs allegedly brought a lighter, marijuana, multiple white pills and tobacco into the Nelson County Jail. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
14-CR-103. John E. Hutchins, 39, New Haven, theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 and complicity to the same (40 counts); theft by unlawful taking over $500 and complicity to the same (47 counts); unlawful access to a computer, first-degree, and complicity to the same (87 counts).
According to the indictment, on selected dates between Feb. 6, 2008 and Feb. 5, 2014, Hutchins — acting alone or in concert with Carrie Lee Hutchins — unlawfully accessed a computer, software, data or network 87 times to take monies totaling $1.09 million from the Abbey of Gethsemani. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.
14-CR-104. James E. Gillespie, 17, Mount Eden, attempted murder (2 counts); assault, third-degree; wanton endangerment (2 counts); disarming a police officer; escape in the first-degree; theft by unlawful taking/disposition-firearm; terroristic threatening, third-degree (2 counts); menacing (2 counts). Bail was set at $500,000 cash only, plus conditions.
14-CR-105. Carrie Lee Hutchins, 44, New Haven, theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 and complicity to the same (40 counts); theft by unlawful taking over $500 and complicity to the same (47 counts); unlawful access to a computer, first-degree, and complicity to the same (87 counts).
According to the indictment, on selected dates between Feb. 6, 2008 and Feb. 5, 2014, Hutchins — acting alone or in concert with John Hutchins — unlawfully accessed a computer, software, data or network 87 times to take monies totaling $1.09 million from the Abbey of Gethsemani. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.
14-CR-106. Christopher Bothwell, 35, Bardstown, rape, second-degree; sodomy, second-degree (3 counts); incest (4 counts); sexual abuse, first-degree (7 counts).
According to the indictment, between Jan. 1, 2013 and Oct. 30, 2013, Bothwell allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with another person under the age of 14 whom he knew to be a relative who was incapable of giving consent. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only, plus conditions.
14-CR-107. Jill Lundy, 30, Bardstown, assault, first-degree. Bail was set as the same in district court, plus conditions.
14-CR-108. Kenneth Williamson, 54, Cox’s Creek, wanton endangerment, first-degree (3 counts).
According to the indictment, on Sept. 28, 2013, Williamson allegedly fired a handgun at a dog while a child was nearby. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
14-CR-109. Derek J. Meredith, 23, Glendale, possession of controlled substances, first-degree; tampering with physical evidence; possession of drug paraphernalia; public intoxication.
According to the indictment, on Feb. 5, 2014, Meredith allegedly possessed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia while under the influence of a controlled substance or other intoxicating substance. The indictment alleges when Meredith believed an official proceeding was pending, he concealed a syringe and drugs in an effort to hide them. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
14-CR-110. Mary Brown, 62, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking.
According to the indictment, from April 9-13, 2014, Brown allegedly took numerous items belonging to Kroger and Walmart having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000 unsecured, plus conditions.
