Bessie Woodall, 84, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at her daughter’s home. She was born Sept. 13, 1930, in Springfield to the late Ruel and Daisy Thompson Hood. She was a homemaker, former nursing assistant and a member of Church of God of Prophecy.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Smith; her second husband, Robert Woodall, on Thursday, May 7, 2015; and one sister, Mae Coslow.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol (Mike) Hill of Bardstown; four sisters, Ruby Pennington and Robbie Pennington, both of Bardstown, Agnes Robinson of Louisville and Beulah Ross of Willisburg; three grandchildren, Shaun Hill, Kelly Boernsen (Corey) and Denise Dishon (Robert); two great-grandchildren, Hayden Hill and Brooklyn Boernsen.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Millard Ledford officiating. A private family burial will follow.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 and 8:30-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
