Betty Earle Brookshire Bowman Johnson, 82, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Life Care 
Center of Bardstown. She was the former Betty Earle Brookshire, a native of Fairfield and a former employee of C,G,&Y Mini-Mart in Taylorsville, and Country Mini Mart in Ohio. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Bela Landrum Brookshire; her husband, Dewey “Plute” Bowman; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Mark Hammond; and one brother, Russell Brookshire.
She is survived by one daughter, Connie (Donnie) Cherry of Bardstown; one sister, Marie Bell of Shepherdsville; one granddaughter, Stephanie (Rick) Lambert; and three great-grandchildren, Hanna Geiger, Branden Blankenship, and Connor Lambert.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Tom Sparrow officiating. Burial is in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
