Braxton Lee Long, 3, died Monday, June 8, 2026, and went home to be with the Lord. He was born July 31, 2022 in Bardstown to Bradley Winston and Brianna Nicole Brock Long.

He loved to be outside on the farm. He enjoyed doing his barn chores for Jesus money, riding in Daddy’s work truck and playing with the crane, loving on his horses and puppies, and taking rides on the side-by-side and tractor.
He liked to play grocery store and doctor’s office, playing on his swing set, and shooting his nerf and water guns. He loved to sing his favorite Jesus song “Trust in God” in the car with Mommy every day and loved to explore new big boy things with Daddy. His smile could light up a room and he brought so much joy to everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his Ninny and Papaw, Ann and William Brown; and his great-grandfather, Edwin Klunk.
He is survived by his parents, Bradley and Brianna Long of Shepherdsville; his Papaw and Nei Nei, Greg and Ruby Klunk of Shepherdsville; his Papaw and GiGi, Edward Winston and Julie Marie Long of Florida; his great-grandmother, Karen Klunk of Illinois; his aunts and uncle, Amanda “MayMay” (Shane) Moberly of Berea, Elizabeth (Rick) Nickell of Campton, Ryan (Kaylee) Long of Florida; six cousins, Thatcher, Juniper, Cheyenne, David, Hannah, Hayden; and his aunts and uncles that were like grandparents to him, Wendy and Chris Downs and Elizabeth and Michael Guilfoil.
The funeral was Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Bardstown Church of God with Pastor Anthony Castle officiating.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
