Bro. Winfred Lee Hagerman, 78, of Bloomfield, passed away, Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. He was born June 8, 1948, in Nelson County to the late Clarence and Elsie Coulter Hagerman. Winfred was a farmer and retired Pastor of Green’s Chapel Methodist Church. He was very active in visiting the sick in nursing homes where he played and sang on his guitar.
BRO. WINFRED LEE HAGERMANIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Hagerman, a sister, Suerene Scrogham, and a brother, Bro. Paul Hagerman.
Winfred is survived by his son, Kenneth (Sue) Hagerman of Chaplin and his sister, Faye Morris of Bloomfield, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services for Bro. Winfred Lee Hagerman will be 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Bro. Shane Stephens will officiate. Interment will be in Green’s Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will resume Friday after 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
