Obituary: Charles Roderick Goode, 63, Bardstown

Charles Roderick Goode, 63, of Bardstown, died at 12:43 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Baptist Health in Louisville. He was a native of Louisville and born Feb. 4, 1952. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Campbellsville and a retired employee of the Kentucky School For The Blind.

funeral_flowerHe was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Jean Keith.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Hill Goode; two sons, Chris Goode (Tonya) and Bill-Bill Goode (Angela), both of Louisville; one stepdaughter, Stephanie (John) of Jeffersonville, Ind.; three sisters, Pam (Frank) of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Robin and Janene both of Louisville; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 3 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home in Springfield with the Rev. Carlis Compton, pastor of the Liberty Baptist Church, officiating. Burial is in the Evergreen Cemetery in Willisburg.

Pallbearers are Rick Litchford, Jay Kinslow, Randy Thompson, Derrick Haycraft, Mike Pate and Jacob Comstock.

The Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
