Claudia Ann Hoover, 69, of Bloomfield, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at her residence. She was born April 13, 1946, in Gary, Ind., to the late George Amos and Irene Margaret Huppenthal Schmidt. She was a retired school bus driver and a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in 
Chicago, Ill.
She is survived by her three daughters, Christine Gadbois of Bloomfield, Stephanie Cardoza of California and Victoria Baires of Texas; one son, Anthony Young of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Andrea Fox of Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen by the family. There will be no public services.
The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
