Obituary: Deborah D (Wheeler) Tucker, 72

Deborah D. Wheeler Tucker, 72, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026 at her home with her family by her side.

Debbie was born to Lee Doc and Delores (Gibson) Wheeler.

Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her most cherished thing in life was her family. Debbie was a certified C.M.T. for 22 years of service at Medco N.H. and 11 years at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was an easy going, loving person.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Wade Wheeler, father-in-law, Lester Tucker, a great-niece, Jocelyn Kay Jackson and grand-parents.

Debbie Tucker is survived by her husband of 56 ½ years, Lester Carlos Tucker of Sonora, a son, Matthew “Matt” Tucker, a daughter, Melisa Jo (Erick Warp) Parrett of Sonora. She also has a brother Charles (Alice) Wheeler of Hodgenville and a sister Julie Ann Wheeler Houk of Sonora. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; Weston (Jennifer) Lancaster, Mattie Grace Parrrett and Paxton Nevaeh Tucker and 2 great grandchildren; Ryan Biggs and Nova Lancaster. Her bonus family David and Amber Wheeler and children will miss her as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral will be Aug. 17, 2026 at William R. Rust Funeral Home, Hodgenville Chapel at 10 a.m. With Bro. Mike Walker and Bro. Dewayne Gibson officiating. She will be laid to rest at KY Veteran’s Cemetery Central, Radcliff at 12:30 p.m.

Visitation will be Aug. 16, 2026 from 3 to 8 p.m.. and will continue from 8 a.m. until time of service on August 17th at William R Rust Funeral Home, Hodgenville Chapel.
