Obituary: Dixie Pamela Saylor, 64, Bardstown

Dixie P. Saylor, 64, of Bardstown, passed away on Aug. 19, 2026 at her home. She was born on Oct. 13, 1961 in Mcdowell, Kentucky, the daughter of Norma Stephens Eckelberry and Thomas Jarrell. Dixie was a devoted wife to her husband. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church. She was a dedicated employee to KVF Flooring, but mostly to her clientele, as she was able to fix any situation. Being there for her sons, grandchildren, and her family is what was most important to her. Dixie absolutely loved decorating and baking for the holidays with all of her grandkids. Her favorite things were to spend time at the beach, enjoying the sun, painting, and spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her grandson, Austin Saylor.

She is survived by her husband, Earl “Corney” Saylor, of Bardstown; four sons, Zebyalin Jennings (Georgia), Brian Jennings (Heather), Todd Saylor (Jennifer), and Travis Saylor (Jennifer); grandchildren, Bailey, Audrey, Peyton, Zavier, Kielie, John Michael, Charlie, Thomas, Mikayla, Kaydence, Braxton, and Izzy; great grandchildren, Carter and Dalton; three sisters, Vicky Williams (Mike), Denise Angel, and Lill Jarrell; and one brother, Rick Jarrell (Kelly).

Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial to take place in Bardstown Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
