Donald Anthony Miranda, 90, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at Bluegrass Assisted Living. He was born July 30, 1926. He retired from Coharts Refractory. He was a Machinist Mate 2nd Class on a minesweeper during World War II in the South Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Peter Miranda and Rebecca Jane Miranda.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Miranda; five children, Donna J. Amos, James S. Miranda, Bonnie S. Riley, Joseph A. (Tony) Miranda and Jennifer M. Elkins; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Shepherdsville Kingdom Hall – Jehovah’s Witnesses at 205 Charles Hamilton Way in Shepherdsville.
There will be a private burial at a later date.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
