Donald Byron Nelson, 80, of Lebanon, died Thursday, May 29, 2014. He was born May 23, 1934, in Vine Grove. He was a retired soil conservation employee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lynn Lee Nelson and Johnny Nelson.
Survivors include his wife, Martha VanSickle Nelson of Lebanon; one daughter, Pam (Jimmy) Mattingly of Lebanon; one son, Johnny (Karen) Nelson of Lebanon; three brothers, Carrol Nelson of Vine Grove, Charles Nelson of Louisville and Forest Nelson of White Mills; and four grandchildren, Eli Nelson, Gabe Nelson, John Michael Mattingly and Jenny Mattingly, all of Lebanon.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, at the Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. John Vaught officiating. Burial is in the St. Augustine Church cemetery.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the funeral home.
The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
