Donna Marie Lyons, 69, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, at Common Spirit – St. Joseph Hospital, formally known as Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 26, 1957, in Bardstown to the late William Wathen Jarboe and Mary Ellen Hill Jarboe.
She was the oldest of seven children.
She was retired from Walmart with 35 years of service. She was a loving sister and adored her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan, enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends, and loved to shop. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her longtime partner, Ronald “R. O.” Hendricks; four sisters, Judy (Buck) Underwood, Barbara Bradley (Tony), Ann (Tim) Simpson, and Jan (Keith) Sidebottom all of Bardstown; two brothers, Billy Joe Jarboe of Georgia, and Harold (Angel) Jarboe of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and longtime friend, Mary H. Cambron of Loretto.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at Barlow Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Radiation Oncology department at Common Spirit – St. Joseph Hospital in Bardstown.
