Dorvel Noel Breeding, 88, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, at Baptist Health Louisville. She was born April 24, 1938, in Springfield to the late William Grundy and Ethel Leitra Chesser Noel.


She was a former food service worker for Nelson County School System, worked as a clerk for Weight Watchers, and also worked as a product demonstrator for various food brands. She was a talented seamstress and was an avid gardener, but more than anything, she was a devoted grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She was also a member of Willisburg Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Frances Noel, Charles Noel, Doris Smith, Jean Beam, Donnie Noel and Linda Spalding.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Danny) Wright of Cox’s Creek and Donna (Steve) Rivette of Florida; one sister, Carolyn (Michael) Martin of Bardstown; three grandchildren, Dan (Sherry) Wright, Davin “Dude” (Sallie) Wright and Lee Riley; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua Wright and RaeLee Wright.
The private graveside service was held at Cox’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home of Bardstown was in charge of arrangements.
