Ebony Sherece “Sally” Mattingly, 19, of Bardstown, died Monday, June 18, 2018, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born Nov. 12, 1998, in Bardstown. She was an employee for Little Caesars Pizza, a student at Elizabethtown Technical College, a 2017 graduate of Bardstown High School, and a member of St. John AME Zion Church.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert Knott Mattingly and Edna Mattingly.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Mattingly; her father, Darnell Phillips; one sister, Dana Phillips of Bardstown; two brothers, Darius Downs and Derrick Downs, both of Bardstown; her maternal grandmother, Betty Sue Mattingly of Bardstown; her maternal grandfather, John W. Smith of Bardstown; three aunts, Rosaline (Val Gene) Hayes, Gwendolyn Mattingly, and Yolanda (Tony) Stone; and a host of cousins.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018, at St. John AME Zion Church with the Rev. Roscoe M. Linton officiating. Burial is in Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at the church.
