Edna Boone Cassity, 92, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Nelson County and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, French Cassity; her parents, Francis Theodore and Sadie Clements Boone; two sisters, Hilda Boone Coomes and Mary Margaret Boone; and two brothers, J.R. Boone and Pete Boone.
She is survived by one son, Jody Cassity of Bardstown; her special friend and caregiver, Missy Hutchins; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three special nieces and caregivers, Jula Morrison, Lana Fitzpatrick, and Cindy Tinnell; and along with several other nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Jim Fitzpatrick will officiate.
Visitation is 10 a.m. -2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
