Elizabeth “Libby” Ballard, 91 of Bardstown, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Windsor Gardens in Bardstown. She was born Feb. 26, 1926, in Washington County. She was a member of Bardstown United Methodist Church and a loving mother.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Ballard; an infant son, Edward Ray Ballard; her parents, Jetson and Lillie Lyddane; two sisters, Dorothy Nutgrass and Joyce Smith; one brother, Rudolph Lyddane; and an infant grandson, Christopher Wayne Ballard.
She is survived by two daughters, Karin (Rick) Ahrens of Eddyville and Sheila (Jack) Funk of Bardstown; one son, Charlie (Belinda) Ballard of White House, Tenn.; two sisters, Fannie Greer and Betty Graham. both of Bardstown; one brother, Larry Lyddane of Bardstown; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at Bardstown United Methodist Church with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Bradley officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at the church.
Memorial contribution may go to Hospice of Nelson County or Bardstown United Methodist Church.
