Emily Elizabeth Owens, 73, of Bloomfield, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at her home. She was born 
Nov. 19, 1941, in Bloomfield to the late Matthew and Elizabeth Hughes Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bloomfield Second Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Junie Davis, Lawrence Davis and Emmett Davis; and their aunt, Georgia Davis who raised them at the death of their parents.
She is survived by her husband, George Owens; one daughter, Glenda Owens of Bloomfield; one sister, Lillian Davis of New Albany; one brother, Howard E. “H.E.” (Libby) Davis of Taylorsville; and two special daughters, Stephanie Lamar and Allison Lamar, both of Bardstown.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at the Bloomfield Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Joseph Marshall officiating. Burial is in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at the church.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
