Obituary: Ethan Lee Chesser, 36, Springfield

Joseph Ethan Lee Chesser, age 36, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026 at his home.

He was born on Aug. 29, 1989 in Bardstown, Kentucky.

He was a former employee of Bluegrass Dairy of Springfield.

Preceding him in death were two children, Sabastian Chesser and Lillie Marygrace Chesser on Jan. 25, 2024; his father, Michael Lane Chesser on July 30, 2026; his maternal grandmother, Catherine “Sissy” Johnson and his paternal grandparents, Truman and Linda Chesser.

Survivors include his son, Sampson Chesser and daughter, Dalila Chesser; his mother, Mary Johnson Chesser; his fiancée, Carli Milburn all of Springfield and three brothers, Shawn Johnson (Brandy) of North Carolina, Phillip Chesser and Michael Chesser (Cartina) of Texas.

In keeping with the family wishes cremation was chosen.
