Eva Marie Leslie, 95, of New Albany, Ind., formerly of Mount Washington, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, at Baptist Health New Albany. She was a former employee of American Greetings and the Canteen Company, and also a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Joy Club and served in the nursing home ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Wesley and Mary Regina Newton; her husband, James Leslie; one son, Stephen Patrick Leslie; and a host of siblings.
She is survived by one brother, Tommy Newton (Sandy); and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bardstown.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that all donations be made to her church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
