Fred Ward, 85, of Bardstown formerly of White City, died Monday Aug. 1, 2016, at his residence. He was born Nov. 26, 1930, in LaRue County. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Pamela Shefferd; one son, Frederick A. “Freddy” Ward; and one brother, Blaine Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Martha Ward of Bardstown; one daughter, Martha Lynn (Jim) Hardiman of Evansville, Ind.; one son, Scott (Tammy) Ward of Bardstown; one sister, Geneva Bell of Hodgenville; two brothers, Wendall Ward of Buffalo, and Bradley (Phyllis) Ward of Hodgenville; one son-in-law, Joe Shefferd of Fall City, Neb.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen, with a private graveside service at St. Ann Cemetery in Howardstown, at a later date.
Barlow Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
