Geneva Christine Abell, 80, of Lebanon, died Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Flaget Hospital in Bardstown. She was born Aug. 22, 1935, in Marion County. She was a homemaker.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Minnie Lenora Rogers Riley; one sister, Delcia Mae Abell; one brother, Willis Floyd Riley; and two infant children, Bobby and Margaret Elizabeth Riley.
Survivors include her husband, James Lawrence Abell Jr.; one daughter, Ann Michelle (Paul) Cundiff of Greensburg; three sons, James Lawrence Abell lll, of Shelbyville, John Abell of Shelbyville and Joseph Timothy (Elizabeth) Abell of Shelby County;
two sisters, Donnie Sue Luckett of Louisville, Linda Lou Caldwell of Radcliff; two brothers, Robert (Ruby) Riley of Bardstown and Jerry (Julie) Riley of Louisville; one sister-in-law, Caroline Price Riley of Louisville; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the Ryder Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2016, at the Bosley Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. prayer service by Deacon Joe Dant.
The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of the arrangements.
