Obituary: Helene Elisa Nalley, 60, Bardstown

Helene Elisa Nalley, 60, of Bardstown, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. She was born March 11, 1956, in Freiburg, Germany and was raised in Louisville. She formerly operated “Children for the Day” daycare in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frieda Lauber Bailey.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Todd Nalley; one daughter, Elisa Longacre (Devon) of Bardstown; four half-sisters, Peggy Millin of Lebanon Junction, Rosie Mudd (Johnny) of Clarkson, and Donna Bailey and Katie Ratchford (Louis) both of Louisville; one half-brother John A. Bailey, Jr. of Louisville; and two grandchildren, Donald Nichols-Harlow and Destiny Faith Drees, both of Bardstown.

The funeral is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with Pastor Carl Brown officiating with burial in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may go to the family for funeral expenses.
