Herbert Lewis Walker, 79, of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Springfield, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, in Springfield.
He is survived by one daughter, Julia Chenier Walker of Tyler, Texas; three sons, Jerome Nichols of Louisville, Anthony (Coco) Walker of Minneapolis, Minn., and Jarrell Walker of Tyler, Texas; five sisters, Barbara (Ralph) Smith, Joyce Thomas and Mildred Walker all of Louisville, Juanita Moore of Bardstown and Denise (Steve) Linton of Springfield; one brother, Billy (Wanda) Walker of Marion, Ohio; three grandchildren; and a special friend, Tommie Poole of Springfield.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery.
Visitation is 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, at the funeral home.
