James Bruce Holderman, Sr., 73, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at the Louisville 
VA Medical Center. He was a veteran of the Marines, a former cook at Fort Knox and a member of the American Legion Post 157 in Shepherdsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Richard and Viola Hall Holderman; one sister, Virginia Rose Lewis; one brother, Ed Holderman; and one stepdaughter, Renee Terhune.
Survivors include one daughter, Jacqueline Holderman VanVactor; two sons, James Allen Holderman and Jason Richard Holderman; one stepdaughter, Pam Terhune; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with Rev. the Hilton Davis officiating. Burial is in the Peter Cemetery in Mackville.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, and 9-11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at the funeral home.
The Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction is in charge of the arrangements.
