James Merlin Wilson, Jr., 71, formerly of Bardstown, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, in Louisville. 
He was born March 26, 1943, in Bardstown to the late James Merlin Wilson, Sr. and Arletta Hardin French. He was a general laborer and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kandy Wilson; and one brother, James “Jimmy” Lee Wilson.
He is survived by one sister, Frances Lee Nalley of Bardstown; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
The family chose cremation. The memorial service is 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, at the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Lucas officiating.
Visitation is 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, at the church.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
