Jesse Clyde “J.C.” Sparrow, 90, formerly of Louisville, died Friday, May 8, 2015, at Emeritus Health Care in Edgewood. He was born May 28, 1924, in Chaplin to the late Harry Shelton and Golden
Sweazy Sparrow. He was retired from Neill LaVielle Company as vice president-sales manager with 47 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and had 20 years of service in the Army Reserve. He and his family attended Audubon Park United Methodist Church and Christ United Methodist Church in Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Dickerson Sparrow; and one granddaughter, Melissa Naugler.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane Naugler (Steve) of Cromwell, Ind.; one son, James Sparrow (Joan) of Crestview Hills; one sister, Louise Shields of Bardstown; one brother, William Sparrow of Mississippi; three grandchildren, Jonathan Sparrow, Gretchen Kinzel and Stacy Naugler; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Bardstown United Methodist Church with Bro. Scott Stith officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown, and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
