Jo Anna Turner, 85, of Bardstown, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Colonial Health and Rehab in Bardstown. She was the former Jo Anna Cook. She was born on Oct. 13, 1928, in Deatsville. She was a retired receptionist for 
Salt River Electric and a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Turner; her parents, Beckham and Janie Mae Osborne Cook; and two sisters, Murna Shelburne and Joyce Mattingly.
She is survived by one son, Roy Marvin Turner of Hampden, Maine; and one grandchild.
She chose cremation. A memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at New Salem Baptist Church.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
