Joan Marie Wheatley Travers, 69, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2026, at her home. She was born July 23, 1957, in Louisville and was an employee of Newcomb Oil Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Joan Wheatley; one sister, Donna Lynn Wheatley; and one brother, Kenneth Michael Wheatley.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Travers; one daughter, Laura Couch; four sons, Brian Lovingood, Joseph Lovingood, Michael Lovingood and Jason Aslinger; 16 grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Myah, Ryan, Corbyn, Shelby, Jamie, Alyssa, Aleaha, Aiden, Brenden, Aubrey, Ainsley, Kaylee, Shelby and Jayce; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lisa Taylor and Diane Bratcher; one brother, Paul A. Wheatley; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The funeral is noon Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with her brother, Paul Wheatley officiating.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at Barlow Funeral Home.
