John Lawrence “Bud” Ritter, 80, of Lebanon Junction, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at Ephraim McDowell 
Regional Medical Center in Danville. He was the owner and operator of Ritter Floor Covering, a former Marine Corp. reservist, an avid volunteer at Bermheim Forest and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherrill William and Ruth Elizabeth Smith Ritter; and one brother, Sherrill William Ritter, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Hahn Ritter; four daughters, Rhonda Ford, Lisa Foster (Tom), Linda Miller (Ken) and Paula Capps (Terry); two sons, Larry Ritter and Bill Ritter (Diane); 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at St. Benedict Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Graf officiating. Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
