Jolene Laura Cardwell, 70, of Bardstown, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, at her home. She was born Nov. 21, 1955, in Jeffersonville to the late Samuel and Marquita June Hall Giordano.
She was a retired employee of Hurst Discount Drugs and was a member of Nelson Christian Church. She loved music, especially playing the guitar and singing. She also enjoyed writing and watching old movies.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Cardwell; two sisters, Rhonda Winter of New Haven and Lynn (Buck) Boggs of Wellsville, Ohio; four brothers, Tony (Paula) Giordano and Rex Hall, both of Shepherdsville, Mark (Melissa) Giordano of Wellsville, Ohio and James (Pam) Goodman of Illinois; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with Elder Don Dollens officiating. Burial is in Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at the funeral home.
