Joseph “Joe” F. Jaenisch, 56, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2026, at home surrounded by family. He was born Feb. 19, 1970, in Louisville.
He was a big movie buff, and could tell you about pretty much any movie. He loved watching M.A.S.H. He was an avid U.K. fan, enjoyed traveling and taking pictures.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Patsy Jaenisch.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Angela Stinnett Jaenisch; one daughter, Kristia (William) Wallis; one son, Joshua (Kathryn) Thompson; one brother, William Jaenisch Jr.; four grandchildren, Brianna Wallis, Abigail Wallis, Carter Wallis, and Koda Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. J.Randall Hubbard officiating.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
