Joseph Lawrence “Larry” Simpson, 66, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. He was born Nov. 21, 1947, in Marion County. Simpson was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Pauline Benningfield Simpson in 2003; his parents, Oscar and Lucy Marie McNear Simpson; one brother, James Henry Simpson; and two sisters, Catherine Hamilton and Wanda Adams.
Survivors include one daughter, Tammy (George) Knopp of Lebanon; four sisters, Dorothy Cambron and Pauline Richerson, both of Lebanon, Pat Hiltman of Florence, Colo., and Rita Simpson of Louisville; and one grandson, Kendrick Knopp of Lebanon.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer servce at 7 p.m. by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
