Joseph Raffo Cissell, 77, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at his home. He was born Jan. 18, 1938, in Holy Cross. He was retired from Barton Distillery.
He was preceded in death by one son, William David Cissell; his parents, Bert and Mate Cissell; four sisters, Dorothy, Leona, Lottie Mae, and Beatrice; and two brothers, Chester Cissell, and Bertrand Cissell.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Humphrey Cissell of Bardstown; one daughter, Tammy (Danny) Edelen of Clayton, N.C.; three sons, Dale (Rhea) Cissell, Steven Cissell, and Greg Cissell, all of Bardstown; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen with no services.
The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
