Obituary: Joseph Virgil ‘JV’ Hagan, 81, New Hope

Joseph Virgil “JV” Hagan, 81, of New Hope, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016. He was a retired construction worker, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a Catholic by faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Virgil Hagan Sr. and Mary Lillian O’Bryan Hagan; two sisters, Margaret Bryan and Evelyn Clayton; and six brothers, Earl Hagan, Jessie Hagan, Paul Hagan, Hugh Hagan, Leon Hagan and Mike Hagan.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Earl Hagan (Debbie) of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service is 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at the National Cemetery in Lebanon.

The Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of the arrangements.
