Joyce Catherine Hellard, 67, of Louisville, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at Parkway Rehab and Nursing Center in 
Louisville. She was born Jan. 6, 1947, in Nelson County to the late Joseph and Ruby Baker Scamahorn. She was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Ray Hellard; one sister, Betty Vittitoe; one brother, Gary Scamahorn.
She is survived by her husband, John B. Hellard; two daughters, Melissa Hellard and Sharon (Todd) Logsdon, both of Louisville; one son, John D. Hellard of Louisville; two sisters, Marilyn (Darrell) Milburn of Chaplin and Rita (Joe) Lyvers of Loretto; four grandchildren, Jonathan Hellard, Robbie Hellard, Connor Logsdon and Ruby Logsdon; one great-grandchild, Brycen Hellard.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. David Cocxson officiating. Burial is in Highview Cemetery at Chaplin.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at the funeral home.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
