Julia Katherine Mary Maxson, 84, of Bardstown, died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Colonial Health and Rehabilitation. She was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Cincinnati to the late Peter and Johanna Josephine Niehoff Yuellig. She was a former U.S. Federal Government employee and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Maxson; one sister, Mary R. Florey; and one brother Donald P. Yuellig.
She is survived by one son, Brian Karhoff of Jackson, Mich.; three stepdaughters, Debrorah Friebel of Albany, N.Y., Donna Maxson and Kathy Gross, both of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Eugene C. Yuellig of Cincinnati; one granddaughter, Becky Sue Karhoff of Jackson, Mich.; and one great-granddaughter, Nikoma Marie Salts of Jackson, Mich.
The family has followed Julia’s wishes of cremation with a private burial in Cincinnati.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, in charge of arrangements.
