Kathy Elaine Cornett, 67, of Bloomfield, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. She was born July 10, 1959, in Marion County to the late Charles “Bill” and Mary Lee Burkhead Case. She was a homemaker and a member of Bloomfield Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Cornett; one brother, Paul Keith Case; and one niece Elizabeth LeAnne Case.
She is survived by one son, Matthew Cornett of Marion County; her siblings,
three sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Armstrong, Norma (Eddie) Piles and Amiee (Tyler) Clark of Loretto; two brothers, Bruce (Sue) Case of Bloomfield and Frank (Gayle) Case, of Bardstown.
Cremation was chosen by the family with a memorial service 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, at Bloomfield Church of God with Sister Judy Wilson officiating.
Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, at the church.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
