Larry Elmore, 66, of Waddy, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 25, 1951, in Taylorsville to the late Rudolph and Ruth Vires Elmore. He was a former employee of Suburban Sanitation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Elmore.
He is survived by one daughter, Sonya E. Gregory of Taylorsville; four sisters, Maggie Hicks of Shelbyville, Susan Harris of Bloomfield, and Marie Elmore and Betty Armstrong, both of Taylorsville; three brothers, Joe Elmore of Louisville, and Jimmy Elmore and Jackie Elmore, both of Taylorsville; a special nephew who he lived with, Joey Elmore; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville with Sister Mavis Bennett officiating. Burial is in the Valley Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
