Linda Sue Thompson, 68, of Bardstown, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at her residence. She was the former Linda Sue Shewmaker, born June 22, 1948, in Nelson County. She was a chef for LaTaberna, Nathan’s Café Americana, and Kroger in Louisville. She was a former employee of Washington County EMS, and a member of Chaplin-Highview Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry B. Thompson; her father, Edwin Leroy Shewmaker; and her brother, Edward Shewmaker.
She is survived by two sons, Scott (Carol) Thompson of Bloomfield, and her son and caregiver, Brian (Angel) Thompson of Bardstown; her mother, Elizabeth “Dee” Shewmaker of Bardstown; six grandchildren; and a special friend, Linda Mattingly of Bardstown.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road with Bro. Calvin Runner officiating. Burial is in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday.
