Mabel Jones, 95, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at University of Louisville South in Shepherdsville. She was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Green County.
She retired from Kentucky Standard. She was a Hospice volunteer, a former caregiver to many, and a loving wife, mother, mamaw, and g.g.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel H. Jones; one son, Terry Jones;
one sister, Marilyn Caven; and one brother, Thomas Graham.
She is survived by two daughters, Gayle (David) Hobbs and Shelia Jones, both of Bardstown; one sister, Lavon Kerr of Russellville; four granddaughters, Amanda Osborne, Rebecca (Chris) Maupin, Kelly Hicks, and Marley (Adam) Butler; 11 great-grandchildren; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in St. Catherine Cemetery in New Haven.
Memorial contributions may go to donor’s favorite charity.
