Maggie Parrent, 89, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown. She was born 
March 7, 1925, in Woodlawn. She worked for Bardstown Laundry and Kenny’s Cleaners. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Sparky” Parrent; her parents, Tilford and Nannie Pendygraft; several sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Sawyer (Ron) of Elizabethtown; one son, Joe Parrent (Susan) of Fern Creek; six grandchildren, Denise, Tammy, Rhonda, Eddie, Adam and Jason; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at the Bardstown Cemetery with Dawn Sawyer officiating.
There is no visitation.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
