Margaret C. Drury, 85, of Loretto, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary in Nerinx. She was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Loretto. She was a retired employee of the Loretto
Motherhouse and a co-member of the Sisters of Loretto. She volunteered by sewing more than 200 bibs for the retired sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Henry Drury; her parents, Robert and Janie Miles Powell; one son, Ronnie Drury; her stepfather, Joseph Adrian Mattingly; one sister, Louise Hundley; and three brothers, Lawrence Andrew Nalley, J. C. Nalley and J. A. Mattingly.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Morris (Sonny) of New Hope; two sons, Bill Drury (Patrice) of Louisville and Tim Drury (Linda) of Manton; two sisters, Mary Drury (William B.) of Louisville and Sissy Barlow of Lebanon; two brothers, Herbert Mattingly (Rilda) of Elizabethtown and Johnny Mattingly (Pat) of Liberty; six grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 6964 Cissellville Road, Manton, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Matthew Hardesty will officiate.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at the Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Pallbearers are Tony Drury, Bob Morris, Donnie Drury, Scott Wohlgamuth, Jimmy Drury and Tony Hornback.
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
