Martha Norene Humphrey, 81, of Bardstown, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 6, 1936, in Bardstown to the late Ernest and Anna Mae Berry Taylor. She was a retired employee of Tom Pigs Restaurant and Boone Butcher Shop after many years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Goodlett; and one brother, Ernie Lee Taylor.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edgar Ray Humphrey; three daughters, May Ann Holly, Jean (Googie) Linton, and Faye Humphrey, all of Bardstown; one son, Michael (Helen) Humphrey of Bardstown; two sisters, Jackie Curtsinger of Bardstown and Theresa Taylor of Louisville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Simpson officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2018, and after 8:30am Tuesday at the funeral home.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
