Maurice Doody Spalding Sr., 92, of Lebanon, died Friday, April 8, 2016, at his residence. He was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Lebanon. He was a retired real estate agent and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Lucille Agnes (Doody) Spalding; three sisters, Rose Spalding, Lenihan Rubel and Lucille Spalding; three brothers, Robert L. Spalding Jr., Hugh M. Spalding and Charles B. Spalding; one daughter-in-law, Missy (Farmer) Spalding.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Jane (Knadler) Spalding; six daughters, Mary Stuart (David) Haydon, Jane (Doug) Corbett, Ann Lucille (David) Kendrick, Martha Spalding, Sally (Ross) Kushner and Susan Spalding; three sons, Maurice Doody Spalding Jr., Robert L. Spalding and Charles Joseph Spalding; 13 grandchildren, Matthew Spalding, Sarah Hammond, Stuart Haydon, Joseph Haydon, Charley Haydon; Emily Corbett, Abby Corbett, Mark Corbett, Max Kushner, Claire Kushner, Loren Spalding, Blake Spalding and Connor Spalding; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Corbett and Wesley Corbett.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Monday at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Spalding’s grandsons.
The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of the arrangements.
