Merinda B. Taylor, 64, of Chaplin, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at her home. She was born March 10, 1950, to J.W. and 
Joyce Carrithers Stevens in Spencer County. She was an artist and member of the First Baptist Church of Taylorsville.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Warren Stevens.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Richardson (Chris) of Taylorsville; one son, Robert “Robbie” Taylor of Chaplin; two sisters, Janet Barnett (Franklin) of Taylorsville, and Betty Phillips (George) of Fayetteville, Ga.; and two granddaughters, MaKayla and Hannah Richardson.
Cremation was chosen by the family. A private graveside service will be held at Big Spring Cemetery at Bloomfield.
The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
