Michael Lane Chesser, age 61, of Springfield, passed away at 10:35 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born in Lebanon, on May 28, 1965 to the late Truman and Linda Morgan Chesser.
Preceding him in death were two grandchildren, Sabastian and Lillie Marygrace Chesser on Jan. 25, 2024; a sister, Joetta Marie Curtsinger on March 19, 1988; a brother, Shaun Chesser on July 2, 2022 and a niece, Tabitha Pedigo on Dec. 21, 2025.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Johnson Chesser; four sons, Shawn Johnson (Brandy) of North Carolina, Ethan Chesser (Carlie) of Springfield, Phillip Chesser and Michael Chesser (Cartina) of Texas; five grandchildren, Shelby and Isabella Johnson, Dalila, Sampson and Briar Chesser; a sister, Sue Burkhead (James) of Bloomfield and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Michael’s wishes cremation was chosen and no services are planned.
